    Claire chatted to Christine Evers from College of Southampton about serving to robots perceive the world round them by means of sound.

    Christine Evers is an Affiliate Professor in Laptop Science and Director of the Centre for Robotics on the College of Southampton. Her analysis pushes the boundaries of machine listening, enabling robots to make sense of life in sound. Her present focus is embedding our understanding of the human auditory course of into deep-learning audio architectures. This bio-inspired strategy strikes away from large, internet-scale fashions towards compute-efficient and inherently interpretable techniques – opening the door to a brand new technology of embodied auditory intelligence.
