    Claire chatted to Maria Elena Giannaccini from the College of Aberdeen about delicate and bioinspired robotics for healthcare and past.

    Maria Elena Giannaccini has a level in Biomedical Engineering from the Università di Pisa in Italy. She carried out her Grasp’s thesis at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna as a part of the EU-funded OCTOPUS venture. In 2015, she obtained her PhD in Robotics on the Bristol Robotics, the place she focussed on creating protected, variable stiffness robotic gadgets. She labored on the College of Bristol on the delicate, bioinspired Tactip sensor and a delicate robotics synthetic larynx. In 2019, Elena was appointed as a Lecturer in Robotics on the College of Aberdeen the place she pioneered analysis in delicate robotics.
