On Dec. 29 and 30, the Polish electrical energy grid was subjected to a cyberattack that almost knocked out energy to a whole lot of hundreds of households.
Safety agency ESET has since performed a more in-depth examination of the assault and concluded that it was carried out by Sandworm, a bunch of hackers with robust ties to the Russian army intelligence service GRU.
The assault used Dynowiper, a strong malware that deletes all information on weak computer systems.
